OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.

Week 6 (Wednesday 1st June): DPhil Research-In-Progress Forum

The next session of the Modern and Contemporary Graduate Forum will take place on June the 1st at 17.15 in Seminar Room B at the St Cross Building (not All Souls). This week’s session is on classics and literary value, and our speakers are as follows:
Caterina Domeneghini (Wolfson College), ‘“The classics which are still modern, the moderns which have become classics”: Negotiating modernism and the mass market in twentieth-century reprint series’
Robert Freeman (New College), ‘The Measure of a Crooked Cord: RhodesMustFall, Value and Race’
The forum is a chance for modern and contemporary graduate students to share new research, work in progress, or problems they’ve encountered, and to get to know each other in a relaxed and supportive setting. Drinks and nibbles will be provided and there will be plenty of time to get to know fellow graduates in the mod/con strand. We hope to see many of you there!
