Chapels of Convenience - oratories and household chapels from c.1500
Using documentary, architectural and visual evidence from Cornwall and elsewhere, we shall explore the form and function of household chapels. The fate of these purpose-built, and sometimes lavishly decorated, places after the Reformation will also be considered.
