OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Exhibition: Identity, Belonging, and Change: A Historical Portrait of Everyday Life in Sudan
The Oxford University Africa Society is presenting an exhibition on Sudan showcasing how people in the North-East African country have built resilient communities in the past and present. It will be available for viewing from 29 to 30 April 2023 at 95 Gloucester Green, OX1 2BU, from 10:00 to 18:00 (BST) daily.
The event launch takes place at 14:00 on Saturday 29 April.
The exhibition is part of the series ‘A History of Ordinary People in Africa (HOPIA)’, a cultural heritage project consisting of a series of historical exhibitions. It is undertaken by members of the Oxford University Africa Society in partnership with Fusion Arts Oxford and supported by TORCH as part of the Humanities Cultural Programme and the Oxford African Studies Centre.
Current Conflict in Sudan: The current political unrest in Sudan saddens the African community in Oxford, and we send our thoughts and prayers to our Sudanese members and all people of the nation of Sudan.
