On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

OxPeace and the DPIR will jointly host Pierre Hazan, mediator and author of the recent book Negotiating with the Devil: Inside the World of Armed Conflict Mediation at an in-person seminar and book launch, followed buy a drinks reception. . A limited number of copies will be available at the launch price of £10 (cash or bank transfer).
After many years in the little-known world of back-channel mediation, helping sworn adversaries to prevent, manage or resolve conflict, Pierre Hazan re-examines the acute practical and ethical dilemmas that affected his work in Bosnia, Ukraine, Syria, the Sahel and the Central African Republic. He raises acute questions on the relation between justice and peace, the ethics of peacekeeping, protection of civilians, the role of the UN, the impasse that results if ‘terrorists’ are excluded from negotiations – and much more.
