Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
What do you need to do to get promoted/regraded? How can you move from a fixed term contract to an open-ended, externally-funded contract? And how do you approach your line manager with these questions? The ECR Committee knows that an important part of job satisfaction is feeling secure, and sometimes understanding University contracts can be a tricky process. We want to address your questions and hear any concerns you have. Shaka Obhiozele and Charlotte Walber will start with a short presentation to demystify the contracts process. We will then open for a time of discussion. This will be followed by lunch, where Shaka and Charlotte will continue to be around to answer your questions. This will also be a great opportunity to meet people in other labs in a relaxed and informal setting. We hope to see you there!
