Insights into Academia Careers: Progression, Diversity and Confidence
This session will run again on 16th February 2018, 12:30 – 14:00 at the JR Hospital, George Pickering Lecture Theatre, George Pickering Education Centre, Level 3
Aimed primarily at DPhil students and research staff, this discursive seminar will be facilitated by a Careers Adviser and members of the Medical Sciences Division support staff. We will explore the myths and realities of academic career progression including topics that are harder to discuss in departments such as gender, age or other perceived and experienced barriers to progression, and how early career researchers can better understand and overcome any sense of academic failure.

Sandwiches and juice for lunch will be provided.
