OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
"The Papacy of Francis: Conversion & Resistance"
Dr Austen Ivereigh is Fellow in Contemporary Church History at Campion Hall and one of the leading interpreters of the Papacy. He is a writer, journalist and commentator, formerly deputy Editor of ‘The Tablet’. His latest book ‘Wounded Shepherd’ follows from ‘The Great Reformer: Francis and the making of a Radical Pope’, and is an account and analysis of the often turbulent reform led by Jorge Mario Bergoglio. It draws on three years research in Rome, Latin America and the United States and involves interviews with key participants, as well as the Pope himself.
