Assumptions: The President's Seminar with Philmen Probert (Erica Charters, "History, medicine, and progress")
All are invited to the President's Seminar, followed by an informal supper in hall.
All are very welcome to a seminar on “Assumptions”, featuring three short talks:
Erica Charters, “History, medicine, and progress”
Jonathan Duquette, “Gods, authority and the ‘new reason’: uncovering Sanskrit systematic thought in early modern India”
Marc Sarazin, “The power of ‘music’: an assumption and its risks”
The talks will be followed by discussion, and all participants will be encouraged to continue discussion over supper in Hall afterwards.
