OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Dynamics of large-scale ecological restoration: Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique
After nearly being eliminated during Mozambique’s long civil war, the large mammals of Goronogosa National Park have rebounded dramatically in the past decade, thanks to an innovative conservation partnership. Many ecological legacies of this conflict remain, but some are already being erased. This talk is about lessons learned from Gorongosa about how African savannas work, how their species interact, and how ecological communities reassemble after being pushed to the brink.
