OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

ADP-ribosylation signalling in regulation of genome stability
Dr Ahel’s lab employs a combination of structural studies, cell biology, and animal models to study cellular responses to DNA damage. In particular, their area of focus is on regulation of proteins involved in DNA repair and genome stability by ADP-ribosylation, a post-translational protein modification catalyzed by a family of enzymes called poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs). PARPs have been linked to a number of cellular pathways including DNA repair, modulation of chromatin structure, apoptosis, and transcription
