OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

How Science Makes Surgery Safer
Professor of Surgical Sciences Peter McCulloch has carried out hundreds of operations, primarily in the field of cancer. So, he knows better than most that surgery carries the risk of complications and the response of surgeons to these events when they occur is often crucial in deciding if someone lives or dies. In this lecture, Professor McCulloch shares his research into how science can make surgery safer for all of us.
