OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Curated by ABRIL RÍOS-RIVERA
Opening: Wednesday Week 1, 17th January 2024, 5:00 – 6:30pm
Following Abril’s excellent presentation at our seminar last term on the subject of migration, empowerment and decision-making, we are thrilled to feature some of the powerful photo stories created by women and gender-diverse migrants and refugees in Tapachula, Mexico City, and Tijuana, Mexico. You can find out more about the project by visiting Abril’s website.
The event will open with a short presentation by Abril on the creation of the photo stories, followed by a Q&A and a drinks reception.
