On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Meir Bar Ilan has a BA and PhD from Bar Ilan University, followed by a Postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University. He has taught for forty years in the department of Jewish history and Talmud, where he served as chair, at Bar Ilan University (named after his late grandfather). His research focuses on Jews in Antiquity and is the author of seven books and 130 academic articles. Meir served in the Yom Kippur War and the First Lebanon War, in which he was injured, losing one of his legs. Meir is married to Miriam and they have 5 children and 18 grandchildren.
