OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

How to Overcome Global Crises: Climate Change and Pandemics
This lecture is open to members of the public and entry will be free of charge. No prior booking required.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, 8th Secretary-General to the United Nations, is the Nelson Mandela Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. His priorities as Secretary-General have been to mobilize world leaders around a set of new global challenges, from climate change and economic upheaval to pandemics and increasing pressures involving food, energy and water. He has sought to be a bridge-builder, to give voice to the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people, and to strengthen the Organization itself.
