Join our “Business for researchers” panel discussion to hear first-hand from experienced speakers with a research background about what opportunities the business world could offer you. The panel discussion will be followed by a networking lunch.

With a broad background from Pharmaceutics to Data Analytics, Yewande Oni has a breadth of experience from her work academia and the pharmaceutical industry. She obtained her PhD from the University of Nottingham and has held various roles in the UK (such as at Unilever) and Singapore. She now focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion as Senior People Analytics Lead in a large integrated energy company.
Alex Novak is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Ambulatory Care at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Director of Emergency Medicine Research Oxford (EMROx). He has a broad portfolio of research collaborations with industry partners, and is Chief Investigator for several projects under the aegis of the National Consortium of Intelligent Medical Imaging, with a focus on the evaluation of AI-assisted image interpretation algorithms in acute healthcare settings. He was appointed as Associate Professor by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in 2023, and is a standing member of the NICE Diagnostics Advisory Committee.
Dragana Savic is a biomedical engineer with a DPhil in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics, and an MBA. Her background spans pre-clinical and clinical trials, leveraging various medical imaging technologies. She held the Novo Nordisk Fellowship in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, and concurrently served as a consultant for Merck, contributing to innovative biomedical solutions. In October 2022, she transitioned from academia to her current role as Co-CEO of INIA Biosciences, to help advance medical device solutions for chronic inflammatory diseases.
Peter Jezzard is the Herbert Dunhill Professor of Neuroimaging at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. He has arranged two consultancies through Oxford University Consulting: one with a multi-national pharma company who wished to have advice on the potential of imaging to provide biomarkers in drug discovery, one with a small UK start-up, helping implement their technology for MRI imaging on specific delivery platforms.
