OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The Gratitude of the Suffering Earth
In the Epistle of Barnabus we read: “human beings are suffering earth”. What insight does this statement offer into our human nature? And how does our “suffering earth” relate to what the Apostle Paul calls “the groaning of creation”, as it awaits the revelation of the children of God?
In this lecture, Professor Behr will explore how early texts from the Christian tradition open up an unexpected dimension of gratitude as they address the theme of the “suffering earth”.
The lecture will be delivered in person by Professor Behr to a small audience. Due to social distancing restrictions, we invite you to join us for a livestream of this event. This will include the opportunity to engage in Q&A with Professor Behr.
