OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Lessons from the Argentine Destape: Sex and Culture in the Transition to Democracy
Natalia Milanesio is a professor of Modern Latin American History at the University of Houston. She is the author of Workers Go Shopping in Argentina: The Rise of Popular Consumer Culture (University of New Mexico Press, 2013) and Destape: Sex, Democracy, and Freedom in Postdictatorial Argentina (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2019). She is currently a Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professor at UCL Institute of the Americas.
