OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Seminar by Dr April Craft "Transcriptomic and Epigenetic Signatures of Developing Human Cartilage Lineages"
This seminar is virtual
April Craft received her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in a gene therapy/functional genomics lab. Her postdoctoral training was with stem cell biologist Dr. Gordon Keller at the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine in Toronto. There, Dr. Craft initiated a successful cartilage research program, which she brought with her to Boston Children’s Hospital in 2015. Dr. Craft is currently an Assistant Professor in the departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Stem Cells & Regenerative Biology at Harvard University, and she leads the Musculoskeletal Disease Program at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Her lab continues to study the development of cartilage and other synovial joint tissues, with hopes of applying this knowledge toward the development of therapeutics for disease attenuation and tissue regeneration and repair.
