OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Jawaharlal Nehru on International Relations
In the final session of the Global Thinkers of the International Discussion Series, Oxford, join Judith Brown to discuss the international thought of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
After independence, Nehru became the virtual director of India’s foreign policy. Under his guidance India became the first state to have pursued a policy that was new in the history of international relations- the policy of non-alignment. He was supported by Naser of Egypt, Sukarno of Indonesia and Joseph Broz Tito of Yugoslavia. His policies of non-alignment and Panchscheel—principles of peaceful coexistence—guided India’s international relations until the outbreak of the Sino-Indian War in 1962, which contributed to his declining health and subsequent death in 1964.
