India’s leadership role in the world
A conversation with ex-Cabinet Ministers P. Chidambaram and S. Khurshid, moderated by Karthik Ramanna, Professor of Business and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government.

As popular support for liberalism and free-markets has declined in the West, and as an alternative, strongman-style of governance has emerged in many countries, how robust is Indian democratic-capitalism? Can the Indian experience of economic growth within a democratic franchise provide an example for other emerging countries? What role does India have to play in economic, moral, and political leadership for the next decade?
