OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Exhibition Viewing and Talk 2nd February - Church, Crown and Civil Wars: The Book of Common Prayer
You are warmly invited to attend our Exhibition in Christ Church Upper Library – Church, Crown and Civil Wars: The Book of Common Prayer.
Date: Friday the 2nd February 2024
Time: 4 – 5:30pm.
Our exhibition celebrates Christ Church’s collection of early editions of the Book of Common Prayer, including Archbishop William Laud’s copy containing planned changes to the draft Scottish Prayer Book with Charles I’s signature authorizing Laud’s adaptations.
This in-person event will feature a brief talk by Professor Sarah Mortimer, Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Oxford.

Please note that access to the Upper Library is by stairs only and may cause difficulty for anyone with limited mobility.
