OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Watching the (rapidly) evolving Universe
Professor Katherine Blundell OBE, a senior member of our Astrophysics Sub-department, Research Fellow at St John’s College(link is external) and Gresham Professor of Astronomy(link is external) since 2019, will give a lecture “Watching the (rapid) evolving Universe”
Among many other projects, Prof Blundell is the founder and director of The Global Jet Watch(link is external), an international project instigated to explore the time-domain astrophysics of phenomena that vary on timescales of hours and days.
