The structures and mechanisms that maintain ciliary proteostasis
Department Seminar - Please note day change
Alan Brown is an Associate Professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School. He obtained his PhD in 2010 from the University of Cambridge before doing postdocs with Dr. Matthew Higgins and Dr. Venki Ramakrishnan. He started his lab in 2017 and was named a Pew Scholar in 2019. His laboratory uses structural and cell biological techniques to study cilia and flagella, with a particular emphasis on elucidating the mechanisms of ciliary motility, intraflagellar transport, and the regulation of the ciliary proteome.
