Richard Doll Seminar - Microbiome: Diet, Cancer, and Moving to Population Studies
Dr. Sinha is a Senior Investigator at the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch, and is the Principal Investigator of the NIH-AARP Diet and Health Study at the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, National Cancer Institute. Dr. Sinha’s research goal is to explain the complex role of diet in cancer etiology, using an interdisciplinary approach that integrates biological mechanisms with epidemiologic studies. Dr. Sinha is a well-respected researcher and has made substantial impact in the field of diet and cancer. She is now actively working on the involvement of the microbiome in the gastrointestinal system. She has undertaken an ambitious plan to apply this exciting new technology to population-based studies.
