The Mousetrap: Detective drama and the legacy of Agatha Christie
This year marks the 70th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, the longest-running West End play. As part of its national tour, a production of the play will be touring Oxford during week six of Michaelmas term. In light of this, the group will discuss Christie’s play and the enduring popularity of detective drama on stage.

Some members of the discussion group will be informally attending the performance on Wednesday 16 November. Therefore, if you’re interested in seeing the play with some friendly faces, please get in touch with Rachel or Nick. However, all are welcome at the Thursday meeting – no prior knowledge of the play or Christie needed!

As part of the TORCH Reimagining Performance Network, this reading group will meet fortnightly to discuss texts, read plays, and watch theatre in a relaxed and social setting.

No prior study or knowledge of theatre required – all are welcome!
