OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.
If you have any questions, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
An introduction to Octopus.ac – a new way to publish your research
In person only
We’re all in a ‘publish or perish’ culture, and on top of that are being encouraged to share our data, code, and make our papers Open Access. It’s a difficult world to navigate as a researcher, and it doesn’t create a good research culture or make for a robust and efficient research record. In this seminar, Alex Freeman will introduce Octopus.ac – a publishing platfom funded by UKRI – which is free, Open, and allows you to share all kinds of work, alongside papers or independent from them.
