OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Human migration, mobility and forced displacement after the Pandemic
Professor Alan Gamlen in discussion with Professor Tracy Beck Fenwick on Human migration, mobility and forced displacement after the Pandemic. Alan will be updating his predictions and questions from a paper published near the beginning of the pandemic, for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), which is entitled ‘COVID-19 and the transformation of migration and mobility globally – Migration and mobility after the 2020 pandemic: The end of an age?’
Alan Gamlen (DPhil Geography and the Environment 2005) is a Professor in the School of Regulation and Global Governance at The Australian National University. He is an expert on human migration and mobility. Alan has previously held appointments at Oxford University, Stanford University, the Max Planck Society, the Japan Centre for Area Studies, Monash University and Wellington University in his homeland, New Zealand. Alan serves also as Liaison Officer of St Antony’s to Australia.
Tracy Beck Fenwick (DPhil Politics 2004) is Associate Professor in Political Science, School of Politics and I.R. at the Australian National University and Director of the Australian Centre for Federalism. Previously, Tracy was Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Australian National Centre for Latin American Studies at ANU, and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan.
