Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Baroness Catherine Ashton was the EU’s first High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, serving from 2009-2014. During her time in this role, commonly referred to as the EU Foreign Minister, Baroness Ashton worked as a leading negotiator during the P5+1 talks on Iran’s Nuclear Program and during the negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo that eventually led to the Brussels Agreement. She now sits as a life peer in the House of Lords, and has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. She will be discussing a range of issues, including her book, ‘‘And Then What? Inside Stories of 21st Century Diplomacy’‘.
