Blogs & digital media can reach parts that other media cannot reach: the story of the Mental Elf
André Tomlin is the man behind the Mental Elf (www.nationalelfservice.net/mental-health). His talk will focus on the difficulties that we all face in keeping up-to-date with reliable research and new ways that we can all adopt to engage more with the evidence that matters most. He will consider our motivations for reading research, the importance of sociability, how to be more critical in our use of evidence, how to join expert discussions and share our knowledge, and the value of embracing digital technology as a means of disseminating your own research.

If you want a clear and fun introduction to the importance of blogs and social media this talk’s for you!

This talk is being held as part of the Knowledge into Action module, which is part of the MSc in Evidence-Based Health Care.

This is a free event and members of the public are welcome to attend.
