OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Explorations in microstructural imaging of the heart and other tissues
In person only
Biomedical research often seeks to understand function through the use of computational models, and one of the linkages enabling this to happen is provided by microstructural imaging. In this talk, I will describe our progressive developments in extending imaging capabilities through the design and construction of novel imaging systems that seek to provide data at the scale and resolution required for integrated understanding. Our initial, and central, focus has been on structures that influence the electrical and mechanical function of the heart, but this has grown to encompass other tissues as diverse as lymph nodes, lungs and carotid bodies.
