OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
About the workshop
Secure Data Environments (SDEs) and Trusted Research Environments (TREs) are increasingly being used to extend and enhance clinical trial data in addition to modelling health data at a population level. In this workshop we will provide information and insights on using these environments, with practical demonstrations including:
· what SDEs/TREs are;
· how to access data in an SDE/TRE;
· how to create projects and dispense data in SDEs/TREs;
· using large scale network databases;
· practical approaches to the use of SDEs;
· using routinely collected NHS data;
· working across multiple SDEs/TREs
Who is it for?
Researchers with statistical training, and an interest in learning about the benefits of using SDEs and TREs; no prior knowledge is assumed.
