Bryan Ward-Perkins: A 200-year Recession – post-Roman Britain

Trinity Emeritus Fellow Bryan Ward-Perkins has worked on the period 300-700 CE throughout his career as an historian and archaeologist. No subsequent economic down-turn has remotely matched this in its scale and durability – but, as his talk will make clear, we have no reasons to be complacent.
