Success in the Academy
The aim of the event is to promote the aspirations of Black Minority and Ethnic (BME) staff within the University. Recent publications show that BME staff in higher education institutions are under-represented at senior levels both in academic and administrative posts. Through hearing from successful senior BME leaders in higher education and related sectors discussing their own journeys to success, this will help give BME staff the opportunity to realise their potential. Further ideas can be gained later by discussing issues relating to professional development that specifically impact them during the question and answer panel. Networking can continue over refreshments.
All staff and students at University of Oxford are welcome. Come and be inspired.
