OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

An Evening with Desmond Shawe-Taylor
Desmond Shawe-Taylor, the current Surveyor of the Queen’s Pictures, will give a talk on the theme of ‘Art & Order’: a discussion of the way in which Queen Victoria’s acquisition of paintings contrasted with that of other great collectors, such as The Tate and The National Gallery, in its preference for academic, rather than subversive, art. This will be folowed by a Q&A session.
