Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
The Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) uses human genetics at scale to power it’s drug discovery efforts, support existing targets and find new uses for existing drugs. We collaborate widely with health systems, universities and biobanks to create cohorts with exome sequencing, genotyping and deep phenotyping. To date the RGC has sequenced nearly 3 million samples. The talk will describe some of the genetic discoveries we have made, some of the computational tools and approaches we have developed, how we use imaging data and proteomics to support this work, and some perspectives on academia and industry as a scientist.
