OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Join us to hear visual artist, Mark Neville in conversation with Vicegerent & Chair of the Wolfson College Arts Sub-Committee, Peter Stewart.
This talk will explore Neville’s celebrated, innovative photographic practice, which investigates the social function and collaborative potential of photography. Neville will discuss his recent Book Project, Stop Tanks With Books, begun in 2016, which focusses on Ukraine’s fight for independence to help end Russian aggression, from which selected works are currently on display at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and previously at the V&A, London in 2022. The talk will also explore several works on loan by the artist to the Wolfson College Art Collection from previous projects, including his Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize nominated series Parade.
