Realist inquiry in global health practice: trials, tribulations and triumphs
The practice of realist inquiry in global health is quite recent and still in development. In this lecture, we provide an overview of its origins and points of attraction or interest for global health systems and policy research. We will discuss the specific challenges with some examples of applications in complex health programmes in LMIC, to end with offering suggestions for further methodological development.
