OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
The Limits of War - Why does war seemingly not always deliver what it promises?
Since 1999, Pembroke College has been hosting a visiting scholar each year as part of the Fulbright programme. This Trinity Term we are delighted to welcome Fulbright Visiting Fellow Gregory A. Daddis, Professor of History and USS Midway Chair in Modern U.S. Military History.
The Fulbright Seminar Series for 2023 will be on the topic of War and Society. On Tuesday 9 May at 5pm, Professor Daddis will be joined by Patrick Porter, Professor of International Security and Strategy at University of Birmingham to discuss: ‘Why does war seemingly not always deliver what it promises?’
The event starts at 5pm on Tuesday 9 May in the Harold Lee Room, which is fully wheelchair accessible.
