OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Theodor Meron: Poems on Being, on Love, and on Grief
Judge Theodor Meron CMG launches his newly published poetry collection, Poems on Being, on Love, and on Grief, in conversation with Baroness Helena Kennedy.
The evening will feature a poetry reading by Judge Meron, followed by a discussion with Baroness Kennedy. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase after the event.
An Honorary Fellow of Trinity, Theodor Meron is a judge and former President of the United Nations war crimes tribunals. He served as the presiding Judge of the Appeals Chambers of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals. A leading scholar of international humanitarian law, human rights, and international criminal law, he has authored a dozen books on international law. He is also a former Honorary President of the American Society of International Law and a former Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of International Law.
Helena Kennedy KC is one of Britain’s most distinguished lawyers. She has dedicated her career to giving voice to those with the least power within the legal system, championing civil liberties and promoting human rights. In 2024, she was appointed to the Order of the Thistle – the highest order of chivalry in Scotland – in recognition of her outstanding public service and pioneering work in advancing human rights and social justice, both in the UK and internationally.
