Biodiversity Workshop at Old Road Campus
An impressive 232 species of plants and trees and 7 different habitat types were recorded in June this year at Old Road Campus (ORC). But how can we best make the most of this space for the wildlife we share it with? With nature under increasing pressure from habitat loss and climate change the University has committed through its Biodiversity Strategy to protect, enhance and connect sites for Wildlife across its Estate; please join us for a workshop to help develop a plan for nature at ORC.

Julie Kerans, Oxfordshire Biodiversity Officer at TVERC, will explain the plants and creatures already living at ORC and then present ways we can help improve and enhance nature, particularly for pollinators, hedgehogs and swifts, for example through wildflower planting and new ways of managing the green space. There are two opportunities to join in and also share a (vegetarian) buffet lunch.
Come along and share your ideas and thoughts on the proposals!
