OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Improving the quality of research applications involving animals
Strengthen your grant and PPL applications by getting a refresher on the expected level of detail for experimental design questions and why these details are important.
This workshop covers how to construct a justification of animal numbers section for grant applications to the major UK funders as well as give advice on related PPL questions. This includes estimating experimental and breeding numbers as well as addressing points on reducing bias. We will also discuss why this renewed focus on good experimental design is important and what you can do to make sure you meet the expectations of funders and reviewers.
Another session is available on the afternoon of Tuesday 14 June. You only need to come along to one of the offered dates, so pick the one that suits you best. We also hope to offer these regularly, so there will be future opportunities to attend.
This workshop is FREE but registration is essential, so please email chris.barkus@nc3rs.org.uk to register.
