OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Fast Forward…. Or Not? Reframing The Automation and Future of Work Discourse
Please register for this event, details below.
Drawing on three years research and publication in deployment of robotic process and cognitive automation technologies, Leslie will first critique the often conflicting accumulating evidence and predictions about the impact of automation. He then provides an overview of service automation technologies as deployed at organizational levels, and their emerging impacts at work. This will lead into a major reframing of the debate about automation and work futures, pointing to eight major qualifiers to the more extreme predictions of job loss.
