How to create a community of practice | Environmental Interdisciplinary Research Lunch & Learns
This session will be focused on how to create a network of early career researchers around the themes of interdisciplinary environmental research – though we will be discussing Agile research, all are welcome to come along! Please feel free to submit ideas in advance to frame this session! Otherwise, we will brainstorm this as a group to establish an agreed purpose and set some goals, including who should be involved and how this community of practice will function (for example, through the IDR lunchtime series, or specific termly events). It would be useful if you could think in advance about what would help you take positive aspects of interdisciplinary working forward in your next steps.

The Agile IDR lunch and learn sessions are an hour long and give early career researchers the opportunity to come to the Oxford Martin School for a free lunch and an hour-long informal session based on themes relating to interdisciplinary research. You get the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with your peers, and we can gather learning on the needs of our cohort around interdisciplinary research.

We provide tea, coffee, biscuits, and vegetarian and vegan sandwiches. When you sign up, please state your dietary requirements.

6th November 2023, 12:30 onwards for lunch, and the session will take place 1-2pm. Seminar Room 1, Oxford Martin School

To book, please fill in the form by 16th October and use the ‘suggestions’ field to submit ideas in advance on how to create an Agile interdisciplinary community of practice.
