OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Sound Fragments: Collaborative Curation with The Black Power Station
What happens when colonial sound fragments are actively transformed through the visual arts, roaring praise poetry, and Afrofuturistic remix culture? What are the possible pathways between the International Library of African Music–the world’s largest archive of ethnographic music and sound in Africa–and The Black Power Station, an independent inter-generational arts activist collective in Makhanda, South Africa? What is the solution-oriented work that collaborative sound curation can build?
