OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Catalysing support for climate action through a values-based approach to public engagement
There is now a large body of evidence demonstrating the important role peoples’ values play in their support for climate policies and their willingness to adopt low carbon behaviours. In this workshop we will explore elements of effective climate communications, as well as how the ‘Britain Talks Climate’ toolkit can be used to create powerful values-based engagement strategies. The workshop will focus in particular on the ways in which the connections between trust, values and stories that resonate offer opportunities to broaden, deepen and sustain engagement with climate action.
