OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The Oxford Tolkien Society presents: ‘Tolkien and Opera: Epic Scenes from the Silmarillion’
Paul Corfield Godfrey will reveal all about his incredible four-part composition, over 30 years old but recorded now for the first time, with the most recent Beren and Luthien released this year. Discover the fascinating lives of the music and the text, synthesised by Paul from many sources, while working closely with Christopher Tolkien himself.
Followed by drink reception with Paul and the cast.
£2 charge for non-members.
