Richard Doll Society Conference 2016
Tackling the emerging giants of infectious disease: an unwinnable battle?

Join the Richard Doll Society for our annual conference from 9:30am-3:30pm, Saturday 29th October at Green Templeton College, Oxford, OX2 6HG! This event is free to attend and lunch is provided.

Zika and Ebola. Two viruses that are emerging as huge global threats to human health.

What can we learn from the past? How must we approach the future? Some of Oxford’s leading scientists host an exciting day of lectures, seminars and films providing insight into how the world should respond to these threats. We will be exploring these concepts from research, medical and public health perspectivies in order to provide an integrated overview of these challenges.

In addition to the above, we will also be running poster presentations and are accepting any abstracts on the topic of ‘infectious disease’. These shall be judged by an official from The Lancet: Infectious Diseases and the winner will be provided with a year-long subscription. This is a great opportunity for all, from newly interested students to long-term researchers.

Please see our site for more information concerning ticket registration, speakers, and poster abstract submissions.
