Refreshments will be served at 17:45 and the lecture will begin at 18:00.
We are hosting this event in the run up to this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight: 25th February – 10th March.

Our speaker, Alexander Wankel will discuss the importance of Quinoa agro-biodiversity as a resource for climate smart agriculture and food security, as well as the effects of quinoa trade on smallholder farmers in the Peruvian Andes. He will also discuss his experience as founder of Kai Pacha Foods, a social enterprise that sells plant-based Quinoa Milk made with native quinoa varieties sourced at fair prices from smallholder Andean farmers.
