Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. James S. Economou MD PhD is the Beaumont Distinguished Professor at the University of California Los Angeles, He has appointments in the Departments of Surgery; Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics; and Molecular and Medical Pharmacology. He is the senior surgical oncologist at UCLA, was the founding director of the UCLA Human Gene Medicine Program, and deputy director of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Economou was a scientific founder of Kite Pharma, His talk will provide an overview of technological trajectories and business models for cell-based gene therapies.
