OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Medieval recipe books at the Oxford Bodleian Libraries
Registration opens soon at torch.ox.ac.uk/event/medieval-recipe-books-at-the-oxford-bodleian-libraries
Critical Food Studies Network (torch.ox.ac.uk/critical-food-studies), Medieval Women’s Writing Research Group (torch.ox.ac.uk/medieval-womens-writing) and the Bodleian Libraries invite you to join us for a session on medieval recipe books.
Together with Marjory Szurko (her book Sweet Slices of History(tinyurl.com/5n72nt3u), published in 2018, was shortlisted for the ‘Fortnum & Mason Debut Food Book of the Year’, tinyurl.com/29v3er43, in 2019) we will have a look at Medieval recipe books from the collection of the Bodleian Libraries, with Marjory sharing her research on medieval cooking and food writing – and maybe even a fitting treat.
Spaces at this place will be limited. Registrations will open soon via Eventbrite – join our mailing list for more details.
